    4/25/2005 - Sound
    Effects and Graphics Contest
Send me your sounds! You may have noticed the silly sounds I've added. It
took me no more than 2 minutes to record them using the standard windows
sound recorder and the clip-on-mike I use for Day of Defeat. So now I want
you to do the same! Record sound effects for anything you think is
appropriate for the game - people dieing, catapults shooting etc. Label each
sound effect and describe what its for and I may incorporate it into the
game. Please send only original sound effects - nothing you find on the
internet from some sound webpage. Send to
    [email protected] Re:
    Bowmaster Sound Effects.
Also, if you have access to Flash and
are interested in creating scenery for the game (trees or rocks, terrain,
backgrounds, character models etc.) then email
    [email protected] Re:
Bowmaster Graphics and tell me what you'd like to contribute.
These are two opportunities to be a
part of the game development. I'll even add your name in the credits section
(as soon as I make a credits section).

Squashed some Bugs Implemented New Features
Hahahahaha - damn there were a
lot of bugs. That's what beta testing is all about. I fixed some things (and
probably broke some things too). Hopefully this version is a little more
    stable.
    Bug Fixes

      - Can no longer warp to any level

      - Enemies on fire that make it to
the left of the screen will no longer kill off all of your population

      - The boss no longer shows up on
level 1 if you warp back

      - Putting non-number values in the
level warper will not break the game

    Game Balancing

      - Increased Boss Hit Points

      - Decreased enemy rate of fire

      - Implemented increasing cost scale
      when purchases are made

    New Features

      - You can now buy amounts of
      upgrades

      - You can bow buy max of a single
      type of upgrade

      - You can now undo all purchases
      made and reallocate your xp

    Performance

      - Reduced the number of bloods per
      hit from 3 to 1

      - Reduced the number of bloods per
bleeding spurt from 3 to 1

And sorry if you were attached to
your xp from the previous version (with each upgrade your xp goes to zero).

    4/22/2005 - New
    Features

      - New Units - Projectile shooting
      enemies! Check it out

      - Improved Level Statistics page -
visually shows how many of each unit there is. Also displays info about
      each unit type

      - Unique Unit weaknesses implemented
      - e.g. catapults are weak to fire, dragon archers are weak to ice.

      - Increased Screen
Size – now the screen ration should match the screen better and you see
      more sky

      - Boss Prototype –
Big slow enemy, immune to fire and ice and gives you no xp from critical
hits and has a lot hit points

      - Bleeding Enemies –
enemies that get hit but aren’t dead not bleed across the map

      - Increased Number
      of Trees by One

      - Increased Number
of Enemies on screen by One

      - Sound! – featuring
the voice talent of myself and the sound editing mastery of my roommate
      Trevor Bortins

      - Enemies Capture
Houses - Killing houses now means more than losing population. The house
is now claimed by the enemy causing the reinforcement flag to stay as far
up as the furthest claimed house. Now, if you lose a house they will spawn
closer and the level gets harder. Also, the flag kind of blocks arrows
ever so slightly for an added challenge

      - Wind! - now each level the wind
changes. The wind velocity and direction is determined by the blue arrow
at the top/middle of the screen

      - Fixed the level stats page so that
it loads after you close the upgrades window (people accidentally started
the level when in the upgrade window because they hit the start button
which was behind the upgrade window).

      - Increased the amount of population
per level, but now population no longer carries over. Each level you get a
fixed amount based on the level number

Please Let me know if you find any
bugs with this new version. Also, if you have any particular opinions about
the new version, fill out and submit my
    survey. Thanks and enjoy!

Thanks to all of you who participated in the open house tournament. If you

    game better.
    As
you can see, I posted the standings for both days. Congratulations to Matt
Covell, Matt Colon and Kevin Povey for placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd
respectively. And Congrats to Clovas Hanson, Matt Colon and PIMP for 1st,
